Unfortunately, the Trump Administration has slashed funding for Radio Free Asia
and curtailed efforts to circulate credible information in the region and threatened
independent media globally.
I welcome the launch of the Uyghur Post to amplify Uyghur voices and to ensure that the People’s Republic of China’s human rights violations against Uyghurs in Xinjiang don’t go unreported.
I wish you all a successful launch and am grateful for your efforts to serve as a
voice for the voiceless.
